AI in Healthcare 2.0 International Conference: Reflections on AI-Driven Progress in Healthcare and Life Sciences

AI in Healthcare 2.0 International Conference

InSilicoMinds was honored to participate in the International Conference on AI in Healthcare 2.0, hosted by Yashoda Hospitals, bringing together leaders from healthcare, pharma, biotech, technology, academia, and regulatory agencies to explore how AI is reshaping medicine. Kudos to Dr.Chinnababu Sunkavalli and the Yashoda team for a wonderful event!

Our CEO, Nirnith Devireddy, presented “Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD) in the AI Era,” highlighting how AI, PBPK, PopPK, QSP, Virtual Bioequivalence, Digital Twins, and Model-Integrated Evidence (MIE) are advancing pharmaceutical R&D and regulatory science — and how validated, model-informed approaches can complement AI to support faster, safer, evidence-driven development.

Several perspectives shared during the conference exemplify key developments shaping the future of healthcare and life sciences:

🔹 Chandu Thota, VP at Google, noted that AI enhances human capabilities rather than replacing them. In life sciences, scientific expertise and regulatory oversight remain essential. At InSilicoMinds, we see AI as a force multiplier, not a substitute, for scientific decision-making.

🔹 Yossi Matias, VP at Google and Head of Google Research, reminded us that “health moves at the speed of trust.” Transparency and explainability remain critical as AI becomes embedded in healthcare and drug development.

🔹 Arijit Roy, TCS Research, showcased advances in Generative AI for Drug Design, highlighting the growing convergence of AI and quantitative sciences in accelerating therapeutic innovation.

🔹 Mahesh Iyer, Bristol Myers Squibb, emphasized that data quality, analytics, and scientific talent remain foundational to realizing AI’s full potential in clinical development.

🔹 Sridhar Babu Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Cabinet Minister, IT & Electronics, Government of Telangana, shared a vision for Hyderabad as a global hub for AI, biotech, and healthcare innovation.

🔹 Dr. Chandrashekar Ranga, Joint Drugs Controller (India), CDSCO, spoke on AI governance and human-in-the-loop validation — aligning with global regulatory expectations from FDA and EMA on trust, accountability, and safety.

The future of healthcare lies at the convergence of AI, scientific expertise, computing power, and responsible governance, translated safely and transparently into better outcomes for patients.

Thank you to all the speakers, clinicians, regulators, and attendees for the insightful discussions. We look forward to continuing this conversation. 🚀
